Back In Time: X Factor gets Highest Ratings Ever!



The X Factor hit a new audience high last night (Saturday) as the competition reached the quarter finals stage.

The latest performances show, which featured the fina
l five contestants taking on the songs of special guest Britney Spears, averaged a mammoth 11.88m (46.1%) between 7.35pm and 9.15pm. The audience is up significantly on the 9.42m (38.5%) who saw the equivalent episode in 2007.

Last night's X Factor peak was 12.78m (49.2%) at 8.15pm. The later results show, in which Spears performed her new single and Ruth Lorenzo was voted off, pulled in 10.69m and a remarkable 50% audience share.
